Course Description

Common law does not hold the server of liquor liable for injuries caused by an intoxicated individual, but state statutes do! Questions of host liquor and liquor liability often arise with many commercial insureds. For insureds in the business of liquor this exposure is no party. Questions about BYOB establishments can also muddy the waters. The current ISO CGL liquor liability exclusion has undergone some major changes. Along with the CGL’s basic “host liquor” coverage, ISO has CGL & BOP endorsements as well as occurrence and claims-made liability policies. This course will explore the unendorsed CGL liquor exclusion and both the ISO endorsements and the stand-alone liability policies so you can better understand and discuss these exposures with your commercial insureds.
